Point ZER0 - Chapter 07Emi woke up even before her alarm was ringing and got out of bed. Today it was a special day. Hitomi and she were the first Mages who gained access to their Armor connected with their CORE. When she went downstairs she found a note on the table and read it.
‘Oh, Hitomi already left...’
She took a quick breakfast and shower, got dressed and went to work. There, Commander Ayakea and Hitomi were waiting for her.
‘Good morning, Hinato. You can come with us. Please leave your bag here.’
Emi followed Cindy and Hitomi to a special room and got dressed in a somewhat metallic suit with glowing stripes, then she and her sister were set in wires and those were plugged into an desk.
‘Please stay still. If you move, the test will fail and it might daMage your CORE. Testing subjects are locked, testing start up.’ Ayakea was giving commando’s, and both of them didn’t know how much time passed when they finally could take the suit off.
Point ZER0 - Chapter 06What happened? Where am I? And why it is so dark in here?
Hitomi pushed a piece of rubbish off her, feeling a sharp pain in her hand. She noticed that she was lucky and only sprained her hand. Dazed, she stood up and searched for her partner. Where was Emi?
‘Emi? Can you hear me? Emi?!’
She almost freaked out when she was a bunch of stones with red strands out of it. She rushed to her, pulling and pushing the stones and debris away. She looked worse.
Emi opened her eyes, trying to get up when the debris was removed, but noticed the couldn’t. She
felt a really sharp pain in her chest and coughed in her hand.
Blood. A large amount of blood came out of her mouth. She spat it out on the floor.
‘Nice…I broke some ribs…’ She coughed again.
‘Don’t try to force yourself. Just stay put here.’
Her eyes widened when she saw the clothes of her sister. A sharp piece of rubbish stabbed through her stomach, just under her CORE. Blood soake

Point ZER0 - Chapter 05Finally they made it once in time to work. Emi just sat in her chair when commander Ayakea came
out of her office.
‘Good morning girls. Finally in time, I see?’
‘Yeah, but it was a close call today. I still need to fix my alarm.’
Hitomi mixed herself in the discussion. ‘You’re just too lazy to fix it or to get up.’
‘I just want to get up in time, but I’m a really heavy sleeper. And in the end you always push me out
‘That’s your own fault! When your alarm still was right you fell out of bed because it was going off
‘Girls, please! Stop fighting. It’s just the beginning of the day! Well now, you can go interrogate Mio.
She waiting in room number 07.’
Sighing a little, Emi stood up. She was bad in interrogate someone, she already knew that. When
arrived at room 07 she sighed again.
‘I hate interrogate someone.’
‘It’s also part of t
Teenage TaoismGiving birth is the closest I’d ever felt to dying.
Before that, my near death experiences had consisted only of my silent announcement of pregnancy—silent, being that my social media accounts were all deleted almost simultaneously and I never returned to school in the fall, saying without really saying that I had caught the malicious disease of “teenage pregnancy”. I’m sure the whisper spread in the hallways like the Bubonic Plague. That September, sitting at home on what would have been the first day of my senior year, I imagined friends I’d never talk to again saying “she was only seventeen, and so full of life!” at my absence in the cafeteria tables, as if they were attending my funeral instead of talking about me behind my back.
"Full of life," I had snorted then, folding a never ending stream of what had once been my own baby clothes. "Literally."
I walked around like a zombie for the months of my pregnancy, deciding t
